Maybe he thinks it will make him happier and his wife will just take him back. Or that "it's a joke." He has no empathy for either his wife or mistress. I think cheaters of both genders have the same patterns like Billy said cus if you look at real happy satisfied married people, they are really in love, mature, responsible, they know they have an excellent deal at home and wont let a 1 time lay ruin all that hard work. Now its acceptible in society to cheat but dont promise to your wife/husband fidelity if you know you wont keep it. dont be a hypocrite either. if he can cheat, so can the wife. Why do cheaters cheat? boredom? libido? insecurity? ignorance? etc. I know a lot of romantics and narcissists both male and female that cheat more than anybody else. also people's lack of character. or they hate women and just want to f them and hurt all of them.
