Cleaning your makeup brushes

Makeup brushes can harbor lots of icky dirt and bacteria so it’s super important to clean your brushes every week. Keeping your brushes clean will also reduce the likelihood of breakouts Its also easier to apply your makeup and it takes less of an effort since your tools are clean and ready to go. (not to mention your makeup will look flawless) Luckily, cleaning your brushes is really quick and easy. It only takes about 5 to 10 minutes depending on how many brushes you need to wash.

I use to use baby shampoo to clean mine and now i just use a Sephora brush cleanser gel.

All i do really is wet the brush (not the whole brush, just the hairs) and then i add the cleansing gel.

When cleaning flat or angled brushes, sweep the brush in back and forth motions. As for round and domed brushes, move them in circular motions to maintain the brush’s shape.

  1. I clean mine with a MAC brush cleanser. They come out as if they were brand new! xoxo Sammy
